Merhabalar,

1 Kasım'da düzenlenecek Istanbul Real Flight Event için sektörler açılmıştır. 12:00z - 18:00z arasında gerçekleşecek etkinlik için 3 vardiya ayarlanmıştır. Vardiyalar 12-14 / 14-16 / 16-18 saatleri şeklindedir. Dilediğiniz ve rütbenizin yettiği tüm pozisyonlara herkes başvurabilir. Pozisyon atamaları tarafımızdan yapılacak olup, tahmini oluşabilecek yoğunluktan dolayı herkesin dilediği pozisyonu alamayacağını hatırlatmak isteriz.

Dağıtımda esas kriter zaman / vardiya olacaktır. Bu nedenle eğer 3 vardiya seçeneği de size uyuyorsa 3 vardiyada da en azından bir sektöre talepte bulununuz. Aksi takdirde uçmak isteyenleri göz önüne alacağımızdan 1. vardiyaya başvuru yapmış kişi, talep ettiği sektör dolu ise 3. vardiyadaki bir pozisyona kaydırılmayacaktır, 1. vardiyadaki başka bir pozisyona kaydırılacaktır. Umarım bu kısım anlaşılır olmuştur. :)

Hello,

ATC Sectors for Istanbul Real Flight Event which will take place on 1st of November, has been opened. There are 3 shifts for ATCs; 12-14 / 14-16 / 16-18. Feel free to apply any sector as long as your ATC rating allows you to open it. Appointments will be made by ATC Department. We would like to remind you that due to the excessive amount of requests, you might not have the desired sector.

The base criteria for the appointment will be time / shift. If all three of the shifts are suitable for you, please request a sector for each shift. We will consider ATCs who wish to fly and therefore we will not move anyone who applied for the first shift to another shift if the desired sector is occupied, but we will move to another sector in shift 1. I hope this part is clear enough. :)

Approach procedures:
Center controls will assign STAR to pilots and give them initial descend around FL240 which is the vertical separation between center and East/West Approach. These two approach's duty is to line aircrafts to downwind legs for RNAV. Final turns will be given by LTBA_ARR_APP. After traffics established fully on ils, traffics will be transferred to Towers. Please and please take a look at RNAV Speed Limits and make sure pilots are obeying them or assign them yourself.

Ground procedures:
Please take a look at ground movement charts.

Should you have any questions, we will meet in the teamspeak channel right before the event.
All ATCs must attend to brifing which will take place right before the event in TR MEMBERS channel in Teamspeak 2.

Yaklaşma prosedürleri:
Center kontrolörler pilotlara STAR dağılımını yaparak ilk alçalmayı FL240 civarında verecekler. FL240, Center ile Yaklaşma sektörlerinin dikey ayrımıdır. Doğu ve Batı Yaklaşmaların görevi; pilotları RNAV yaklaşma için rüzgar altına sıralamaktır. Ardından trafikler Varış (Arrival) Yaklaşmasına transfer edilecek ve son dönüşler bu ATC tarafından sağlanacaktır. Trafikler ils e establish olduktan sonra kuleye devredilecektir. Lütfen ve lütfen RNAV Hız Limitlerine göz atınız ve pilotların bu hız limitlerine uyduğundan emin olunuz.

Yer Prosedürü:
LTBA Ground Movement Chartını kontrol ediniz. Her şey detaylı olarak orada gösterilmektedir.

Eğer bir sorunuz olursa, etkinlikten önce teamspeak kanalında brifing olacaktır.
Tüm ATCler, etkinlikten önce gerçekleşecek brifinge katılmak zorundadırlar. Brifing Teamspeak 2'deki TR MEMBERS kanalında gerçekleşecektir.

Thank you very much, I'm happy with my appointments-) Sectors/transfers pretty are clear to me. I assume it'll be much easier for the rest of you all to discuss in turkish at the briefing. I won't mind at all, I'll come anyway. But I shall just ask my questions openly here first, not all of interest, waiting to be answered here or at the briefing.

  • Vertical limits : 9500ft and FL245 (to avoid same FL by 2 ATCs) ? or should 9000ft and FL240 never be assigned ?
  • LTBA_ARR_APP clears to final for both airports ?
  • LTBR operations -> LTBA_E_APP ? smaller ADs, LTBU LTBW LTBH LTBQ...
  • Is there an easy to access list of all flights (excel, csv, etc) for gate assignements of arrivals ?

Then last but not least

  • General guidelines for non scheduled in- and outbound traffic ? VFR traffic ? Holdings ?

Let's hope it'll be an easy dep35L/R arr05 configuration that day ^^. Can't wait ; )

1: This is up to your coordination with the other ATC.
2: Negative. Only for LTBA. There are 2 ARR APPs in the picture. If 05 is active for arrival, then LTBA ARR APP will cover LTBA_S_APP. If 23 is active, then LTBA ARR APP will cover LTBA_N_APP. I wrote ARR APP in order people to understand what is what :)
3: Positive. Below 8000ft. traffic is transferred to LTBR TWR for procedural approach. You can send the traffic to UNICOM or assist him for procedure and ground movement if no LTBR TWR is online.
4: For the 3rd time, we assigned gate numbers. We didn't have the opportunity to put into practice. Hopefully during this event, we will. I will try to make a page for that.

We have APOM TR which is the atc procedures operating manual, but it is in Turkish. But since you have GCA, I assume you are familiar with the standart procedures. For VFR please take a look at VFR charts BUT VFR is not allowed for LTBA, and during the event it will not be allowed. Always use RNAV SIDs and STARs, try to give initial climbs as defined in the RNAV chart. Also please check http://ivaotr.org/rfe/about for other minor details.

About non scheduled flights, they are always welcomed. We have no rule against those who don't book.
