The IVAO Special Operations Department (HQ) invites you to the first SO CAT B Training Exercise organized by the SOD HQ
As already illustrated in the banner, the "event" in coordination with the US division will take place on the 18th October 2015 from 1500Z in the area of the so-called White Sands Missile Range near Holloman AFB, New Mexico, USA.
As many of you have surely already noticed, at the turn of 2014/2015, some paragraphs of the R&Rs and the SOD Directive have been changed. The Special Ops department was also affected. With these changes, much more missions are now possible. The limits have been increased significantly. The primary goal of this training exercise is to show the participants (SOCs/SOACs, SOGs and all users in the organisation) what is possible in accordance with the currently valid R&Rs and SO Directive (How far can you go. Where are the limits. What is and is not permitted). Due to the fact that there are so many different focuses, we have decided to begin with an air-ground training. With an area of over 8,000 square kilometers, the WSMR is predestined as training location for a wide variety of military operations. We can practice undisturbed every imaginable focus here.
Get ready for exciting and varied training contents in a great location with many other like-minded pilots.
Here already some first pictures of what awaits you
. Everything what you can see on the pictures, has been created by us in painstaking efforts in the last weeks. In the following pictures you can see one of the air-to-ground (bombing and gunnery) ranges in the area of White Sands Missile Range 8).
Regards
Tobias
All participants will receive 4 points for their Jet fighter or ATC award!
Cat B event 3 points. We would like as any people to join the operation to show you what you are able to do under the 'new' directive, which is why we have decided to award people with an additional SO point.
