The Executive would like to announce that the positions of the Events Director (IVAO-ED) is vacant.

Therefore, the submission period for candidates for the positions is open.


As stated in the IVAO Rules & Regulations, the candidate must fulfil the following basic requirements:

- Be, before the end of the submission of candidatures period, at least 21 years old (an ID prove could be requested in case of doubt).
- Be a member of IVAO for at least 6 months before the end of the submission of candidatures period.
- Have a minimum rating of Aerodrome Controller and/or Private Pilot. For obvious reasons related with the nature of the responsibilities, a higher pilot rating would be an asset.


At the moment, we are looking for ED to fulfill the following tasks in the Events HQ Department:

- Definition, approval and regulation of IVAO Events
- Approval of IVAO Public Demonstration Events (PDE)
- Management and coordination of IVAO Official Events
- Definition, approval and regulation of IVAO Events policies, procedures and guidelines
- Appointment, Management, Coordination and Dismissals of the HQ Event Advisor staff
- Management and scheduling of the IVAO Event Calendar
- Event award validations and queries
- Issuing of Awards
- Delegation of responsibilities
- OTRS Ticket System Management
- Hosting of HQ Event Advisor staff team meetings
- Dynamic and very active liaison between the Executive and Events HQ( Discord is compulsory ).
- Provide recommendations and proposals to the Executive
- Provide status updates and reporting to the Executive


In particular, the candidate should:

- Have a deep knowledge of the organisation, its functioning and structure.
- Have leadership capacity and organisational skills.
- Have a fluent capability for speaking and writing in English.
- Have a big commitment with the organisation, its Rules and Regulations and high availability due to the amount of work of the Department.

In addition, previous experience as staff or in the Events Department, be at Divisional or Senior level, would be an asset.
