The Flight Operations department would like to announce hereby that there is a position vacant for Flight Operations Assistant Director.

As stated in the IVAO Rules & Regulations, the candidate must fulfill the following basic requirements:

• Be, before the end of the submission of candidatures period, at least 21 years old (proof of ID will be requested in case of doubt).
• Be a member of IVAO for at least 6 months before the end of the submission of candidatures period.
• Have a minimum rating of Aerodrome Controller and Private Pilot. For obvious reasons, related to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a higher pilot rating would be an asset.
• Have a fluent capability for speaking and writing in English.

In particular, the requirements for FOAD are:

• Thorough knowledge about the FO department structure, activities, and projects.
• Have good leadership, communications, and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge in flight planning and related tasks.
• Previous experience in Flight Operation Department (both Senior and/or divisional level) is a plus.
• Good knowledge of PHP, MySQL etc is a plus.

Some of FOAD tasks are: 

• Planning, organization and development of FO Department projects.
• Divisional Flight Operations team support.
• Compile and publish Flight Operations Department circulars.
• OTRS Ticket System Management.
• Hosting of HQ Flight Operation staff team meetings.
• Dynamic and very active liaison between the Executive and HQ-FO
• Provide recommendations and proposals to the Executive
• Provide status updates and reporting to the Executive

Next to this, we appreciate that candidates are team-minded, communicative and have a big commitment to the organization, its Rules and Regulations and high availability due to the amount of work of the Department.

The candidate should spend a minimum of 5-10 hours per week. Furthermore, a good knowledge about FO, in general, is desirable.
