Dear Members,

The submission period of candidatures for the position of Senior Training Advisor (SRTAx) to the IVAO HQ Training Department is now open.

We are looking for a dynamic and pro-active member for this position with a very high level of responsibility and commitment.
As stated in the IVAO Rules & Regulations, the candidate must fulfill the following basic requirements:

    - Be before the end of the submission of candidatures period, at least 21 years old (an ID proof could be requested in case of doubt).
    - Be a member of IVAO for at least 6 months before the end of the submission of candidatures period.
    - The candidate must hold a minimum of an Area Controller (ACC) AND Commercial Pilot (CP) ratings.

In particular, the candidate should:

    - Have a deep knowledge of the organization, its functioning and structure.
    - Have leadership capacity and organizational skills.
    - Have a clean suspension history.
    - Have a fluent capability for speaking and writing in English plus Spanish and/or Portuguese
    - Have a big commitment with the organization, its Rules and Regulations and high availability due to the amount of work of the Department.
    - Solid knowledge of FAA Rules beside of up to date by ICAO/EASA regulations.
    - Previous experience as staff, be at Divisional or Senior level, would be an asset.
    - Previous experience as a Supervisor, would be an asset.
     -Real world aviation and previously training staff experience would be an asset.
 
General responsibilities will be:

-Mentoring the assigned division – probably from North/South American continent and/or Europe
-Keeping the contact with the mentored division staff, in training and exam related tasks
-Evaluating and validating assigned exams
-Take exams as examiner, preferably the high level exams ATP and SEC
-Observing exams
-Diverse tasks assigned by TD/TAD
-Helping in the team inside the department and sub departments

The present HQ Training Department has developed a specific way of working in the sense of communicating and decision making on those issues that are at stake. These can be many, whereby there has to be a constant awareness of the importance and possible consequences of its decisions. There are particular cases were,  it is not always that easy to not only reach a consensus, but more important, the proper understanding and acceptance by the parties concerned. Therefore, it is obvious to mention that these positions require a high demand of the needed skills and attitude. A more extensive interview may therefore be part of the application procedure.
