I have a thought and suggestion about the ATIS System .
As you know there is only one ATIS for an AIRPORT , but in IVAN we have more than one ! GND , TWR , APP can have different ATIS info and letters for an airport .
When you contact APP you get Info G , after APP you go to TWR and got B ( He got online for a shorter time ) , you land successfully and got ATIS info N from Ground ! Is that correct ? Simply NO .
A real pilot gets the Airport ATIS , not the Controller ATIS ... So if the ATIS Changes ATC informs the pilot(s) about this info change and pilots re-listen the freq. and note the changes .
So how can we got closer to the Real Life ...
1. There must be an seperate ATIS Freq. for an Airport if any of the controllers online for the field ( DEL , GND , TWR , APP )
2. The first controller who comes online at LTBA sets the ATIS from IvAC , and this info goes to the server like LTBA_ATS
3. Pilots flying to LTBA or leaving LTBA FIRST takes the LTBA_ATS and notes down the info (like real) ...
4. Pilots leave the ATIS channel and contact with ATC and say the letter of ATIS as usual .
5. When another ATC comes online (like TWR) , his IvAC takes the already build ATIS info and Letter from Server . ( If needed he can modify the ATIS )
6. When pilots leave GND for TWR they do not need to take an ATIS again . They only change the freq. and contact to TWR .
7. When all ACTIVE CONTROLLERS leave IVAN , Server DELETES the ATIS info .
and so on ...
Maybe IvAP can do something with ATIS ... When you contact an ATC of an AIRPORT IvAP sets COM1 to ATC and COM2 to ATIS ... So ATIS Info Can Slide on the screen of the pilot (Famous Green Line of FS).
ATIS info can be in a form on the SERVER and ATC's fill the ness. fields only , like what we do on IvAC .
This is Automatic Terminal Information Service X (Atis Letter) for XXXX - XXXXXXXXX , Recorded At XXXX , Take Of Runway XXX , Landing Runway XXX , Winds From XXX at XX Knots , Visibility XXX , Sky Conditions XXXXX , Temp XXX , Dewpoint XXX , QNH XXXX , VFR Aircraft Say Direction Of Flight (Free Line 1) , Birds Reported Around The Field (Free Line 2) , Advise You Have Information X
So When you need to re-listen or read the ATIS you can just put it on COM2

And the green line comes again (from the cache if nothing changed) .
That's the basic idea about the Subject ... Now waiting your's and HQ's thouhgts

Add. 1 : Maybe later we can implement a voice software to IvAP which READS the ATIS to the pilot (like some Metar Programs or Add-Ons) ...
